I personally do not think a lot of Nigerian men are comfortable with playing with colors when it comes to fashion. One reason maybe because we envision the Ibo money-miss-road(u know I love me ibo people.....ibo kwenu!!!) with his eye-catching, wrongly put together outfits (gucci ft louis vitton, produced by channel) when we think of men and colorful clothes. Another train of thought is that men stay away from colors so they do not look gay (9ja people can be so homophobic sometimes..chai) and scare the kokolets away. Anyway, MAI ATAFO is one guy that trumps all those stereotypes.
I have hardly seen a picture of him where he hasn't been adventurous with colors and still comes out looking as masculine, sexy and hot as a man can be. From the browns to the greens to the reds, Mai consistently keeps it fierce. Plus, with that swaggalicious confidence, he probably can wear anything and make it look gorgeous.
**Honorable mention: Chidi Mokeme has put on some very colorfully daring outfits and he was on point (most of the time).
